When we need your order
Three weeks in advance of the screening is appreciated. Otherwise, a $20 rush fee will be added to regular shipping charges.
Payment terms
Fees are payable to TALKING EYES MEDIA within 30 days of receipt of invoice if you use a purchase order. If you use a check or credit card, fees are payable prior to shipping an order.
For order from outside the US, payment must be in US dollars. Please include appropriate shipping fees, unless you would like us to ship via your Fed Ex account.

Purchases
Videos are leased for the life of the dvd. Once purchased, videos are licensed for direct projection only by the acquiring institution, e.g., classroom showings.
Purchase price includes public performance rights for libraries, colleges, schools and community groups. A limited number of titles are also available for home use--if purchased at this price, public performance rights are not available, i.e. classroom use or screenings for groups outside the home.
Shipping & Handling
Videotapes: shipping and handling fee is $13 per tape.
Materials are shipped prepaid via UPS. For rush, we will ship UPS air (1 or 2 days) or Fed Ex -- add a $20 rush charge.
For international shipments, please call or email TRANSIT MEDIA for a quote.
TRANSIT MEDIA is not responsible for unforeseen delays in shipping. Full charges will still apply if such a delay occurs.
Screenings for paid admissions
For screenings for which admission is charged, the rate is a percentage of the admissions collected. This is usually 35%, plus shipping. Please call for more information and permission.
Previews
Video previews are available for a $15 charge per title for a period of two weeks. The fee includes shipping. $10 of the preview fee may be applied to purchase of the same title, if purchased within 30 days. For previews sent outside of the US, the fee is $25 per title.
Return of previews and rentals
Please return materials prepaid and insured by UPS, DHL or Federal Express on the first business day following the last scheduled screening.
Insurance: Videos up to 30 minutes long should be insured for $200; up to 60 minutes, $300. For films up to 30 minutes, insure for $300; up to 60 minutes, $600. Film, prints and videotapes returned later than two weeks after screen date will be billed for purchase.
For orders outside the US, please use a carrier with a tracking system which will return videos and films directly to our door. Your courier must clear films and videos through customs.
Liability
In cases where a preview copy is requested, borrower assumes full responsibility for loss or damage to materials while in his/her possession or during transit back to TRANSIT MEDIA. Please insure rental returns wisely as established above. If materials are lost or damaged, borrower is liable for the full replacement cost. Borrower is also responsible for any film print damage beyond normal and reasonable wear and tear. Borrower will be billed for replacement of footage of any damaged film.
Cancellation
Cancellations must be received in writing at least ten working days before your screening date. Renter is responsible for the rental, shipping and handling fees on orders already shipped.
Telecasts
Broadcast and cablecast licensing is available for most titles. Please call for more information.
Copyright
All films, videos and audio cassettes are protected by United States copyright law. Duplication, reproduction, alteration, subleasing, television (broadcast, cable or close circuit) or commercial use (i.e., charging admission) is strictly prohibited without written consent from ELLEN BRUNO.
